Colour Base

COLOUR Base is a water-based stain applied as a base colour to create more solid colour effects and also to create various colour tone combinations. Colour Base must be used in combination with One Coat wood Oil and/or Varnish 2C.  

It is an environmentally friendly stain based on a unique Cellular Saturated Anchoring (CSA) technology containing nano minerals structures and micro-pigments.  This technology enables the applicator to apply the stain without overlapping

Application

Preparation

1. Sand the surface to be treated thoroughly and evenly with120 - 150 grit sand paper (if previously treated, remove all treatments completely) 

2. Remove dust with a soft brush i.e., paint brush or air hose. 

3. Protect areas that will not be treated.

Application  

1. Shake the product before use and regularly during application.  

2. Apply generously with spray-gun, roller, brush, or floor polisher with a white pad. 

3. Rub dry using a cloth (not necessary with floor polisher) in the direction of the grain until the colour no longer changes.  On rough surfaces (e.g., brushed or sandblasted oak): work the product into the grain with a brush or a cloth in circular movements.  When applied by Spray: Injection opening 1.6 to 2.2 with a cup-above gun pressure 2 to 3 bar. Use only stainless-steel parts (couplings, seals etc.)  

Top cat can be applied using ONE COAT WOOD OIL 2C or WOOD VARNISH 2C

Tips

For more transparent effect dilute with COLOUR BASE Dilutor.
